Jordanian relief aid arrives in Jakarta

AMMAN, January 5 ( Petra ) - The Jordanian embassy in Jakarta has received a shipment of relief supplies from the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization for the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami. Charge d'Affaires Maher Tarawneh, who received the shipment, said the aid included 22 tonnes of drugs and medical equipment as well as foodstuff. The ambassador, who handed over the shipment to Indonesian officials, said His Majesty King Abdullah has ordered the dispatch of a field hospital and a 24-member medical team to offer medical services.
